"Russia is ready to introduce crypto-ruble" - this statement was made by Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov at a closed meeting with members of the Moscow Capital Club. According to him, the actions of officials are focused on performance of Vladimir Putin’s task encharged last Tuesday.to introduce cryptocurrency in the country.

"I am so confident in declaring that we will launch crypto-ruble for one simple reason: if we will not do it, then in two months it will be done by our co-members  in the EEU,” said Nikolai Nikiforov. - To create it, only cryptography of domestic developers will be used, which will protect the development from foreign interference.”

Maxim Maramygin, director of USUE Institute of Finance and Law:

- Proceeding from the announced limitations, it can be assumed that the domestic bureaucracy fulfills Vladimir Putin's instruction purely formally: "The President said to do, we have done it." There is no other explanation of the digital currency creation that reflects all the disadvantages of cryptocurrencies and has no advantages. The emergence of crypto-ruble in such a format will not result in any positive changes in the economy.
