About 1 thousand persons became first-year students of Ural State University of Economics

Ural State University of Economics (USUE) has enrolled about 1 thousand first-year students, the press service of the University reports.
"You will all go down in history as students who entered our university in its jubilee year <...> I am setting you up for interesting studies and serious work. And the University will provide all the available opportunities in the educational, scientific, sporting and creativity spheres," Interfax quotes the words of the USUE Rector Yakov Silin.
It is noted that ten freshers, who showed the best results of the Unified State Examination, received student ID cards from the hands of Y. Silin at the celebratory assembly.
Besides, Yuri Zelenov, Deputy Minister of General and Professional Education of the Sverdlovsk region, Svetlana Ostrovskaya, Deputy Minister of Agro-Industrial Complex and Food Supply, and graduates of the past years congratulated the students who came to study at USUE from different cities of Russia, CIS countries, Africa, Asia, and Europe.
"Yevgeny Kuyvashev, acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, conveyed his wishes calling USUE first-year students "the gold reserve of the country," the press release says.
