Great-grandson of the senior chef of the emperor’s kitchen, killed together with the royal family, will participate in a conference at USUE

Interregional scientific and practical conference devoted to preparation for the 100th anniversary of the shooting of the royal family will be held on October 25 at Ural State University of Economics (USUE) in Yekaterinburg.

The conference will be attended by Peter Multatuli, a great-grandson of Ivan Kharitonov, senior cook of emperor’s kitchen, who was killed together with the royal family in the Ipatiev House on July 17, 1918.

Besides, a speaker at the event will be Veniamin Alekseev, adviser of the RAS, Doctor of Historical Sciences.

«The aim of the conference is to fully cover the economic and legal aspects in the context of revolutionary events, to reveal the role of the Ural region in the fate of the Romanov dynasty, to assess all the consequences of 1917 and to raise a number of topical issues on all eventual problems for the actualization of historical research in this direction,» the statement says.
