On Tatiana's Day, rectors of Ural universities recall the student traditions, holidays, and unforgettable moments of their youth.
Yakov SILIN, Rector of Ural State University of Economics, Doctor of Economics:
“I graduated from three higher education institutions with honors: Simferopol Higher Military Political Construction School, Tyumen State University, and the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation. In the ordinary sense, I had no student life. It was a cadet’ life having its own traditions. For example, the "funeral" of the last F, when the platoon after the last class carried a flunker with an F-pillow out of the territory of the school playing "tragic" music, or dances on Saturdays, when the duty officer at the checkpoint presented some original toy bought with our money to each hundredth girl who came.
