Ural University will open information security laboratories for training specialists in digital economy

A complex of information security laboratories will be opened on Friday at Ural State University of Economics (USUE), the press service of the University reports.

"Based on the newest equipment, specialists for a new area – digital economy - will be trained," the statement said.

Thanks to modern IT equipment, students will be able to widely apply intelligent technologies in the banking sector. For example, to identify a person by face or fingerprints.

"Highly trained specialists will be in demand in the field of financial and analytical monitoring within the digital economy - to protect banks from cyber-attacks," the press release explains.

It is noted that specialists of the FSB department of the Sverdlovsk region plan to retrain and upgrade their skills in information security based on these laboratories.

In addition, in the context of cooperation of the University with InfoWatch, Falcongaze, and SAP, it is planned to establish a Competence Center on the basis of the laboratory, where students will "settle real problems in the field of cybersecurity."
