The All-Russian Economic Society plans to hold an Olympiad in economics across the country

Economic community is discussing the idea of the first Russian Olympiad in socio-economic thought, Vice-President of the Free Economic Society, Director of the International Union of Economists Margarita Ratnikova told to reporters in Yekaterinburg on Wednesday.
"We will think with our colleagues, including from universities and specialized state agencies, how to organize the Olympiad in Russian socio-economic thought. This is an extremely interesting topic." Leading economist Leonid Abalkin said that the study of the foundations of economics should begin with great people who had left behind their heritage on the Russian socio-economic thought.
