Student search group “Honor and Memory”

This is a group, which goal is the search for missing soldiers of the Great Patriotic War and their subsequent identification based on dog tags, belongings, and archival documents.

Initially, the search student group was established in 1975 by the third rector Nikolai Veselov. The group was engaged only in historical and educational activities, i.e. they studied the combat path and exploits of the Ural divisions during the Great Patriotic War. Since 1990, some students of SINH were involved in searches at the Association of search groups of the Sverdlovsk region "Vozvrashchenie". And in 13 years, i.е. in 2003, at the USUE Museum of History the University search group "Honor and Memory" was established. Its initiator and inspirer was a student Pavel Skosyrsky. For many years the group was supported by the museum head T. Blank. From 2003 to 2006, the group made expeditions to the Belgorod, Kursk, Smolensk, and Leningrad regions. The members of the group were awarded the badge of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation "For an active search". In 2007, the group was headed by Elena Frolkova, a student of the Trade and Technology Faculty. In 2011, its head was Anastasia Elina.

January 28, 2014, a new group was formed, which continues the same activities of the previous members of the search group "Honor and Memory"
