The beginning of the academic year was marked by important news for Ural State University of Economics. Anatoly Karpov, the twelfth world chess Merited Master of Sports of the USSR, State Duma deputy, in an official letter addressed to the USUE Rector Yakov Silin, agreed to head the Department of Chess Art at Ural State University of Economics.

USUE Rector Yakov Silin met with representatives of the Diplomatic Academy of Russian Foreign Ministry - Professor Natalia Maslakova- Clauberg, head of the Center for Public Diplomacy, World Cultures and Religions, head of the International Diplomatic Forum, and Rolf Clauberg, CEO of InterKulturForum GmbH.
