During its history, the Eurasian Economic Forum of Youth has brought together initiative youth from all over the world. Representatives of science, education, government, and business from Russia's regions and various countries have been meeting in Yekaterinburg for eleven years to discuss the development of scientific diplomacy, topical issues of international cooperation, participate in interstate dialogues in the fields of education, science, and culture, and formulate ideas for building a global model for the functioning of a modern scientific and educational space.
Ural State University of Economics hosted the 7th Ural Scientific Readings for professors and doctoral students of humanities “New Industrialization of Russia: Economy - Science - Man - Nature Management.” The event was organized jointly with the Ural branch of the Free Economic Society of Russia, the Institute of Economics of RAS Ural Branch and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

On December 21, 2019, in the dissertation council D 212.287.02 (technical sciences) at the Ural State Economic University, theses of Victoria Vyacheslavovna Gomboeva were defended on the topic “Commodity and technological characteristics of the meat of foals of the Yakut breed” and Vladislav Mikhailovich Tiunov on the topic “Formation of the quality of flour culinary gluten-free flour products and a diet based on them."
A roundtable in English "Hot Issues, Achievements, and Innovations in Professional Environment" was held at Ural State University of Economics. The annual event organized by the USUE Institute of Trade, Food Technologies and Service and the Department of Foreign Languages ?? was held for the third time.
In November, Nikolai Belyaev, senior lecturer at the USUE Department of Merchandizing and Goods Expertise, was conferred an academic degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences (his dissertation advisor was Lyudmila Donskova, associate professor at the USUE Department of Merchandizing and Goods Expertise, Ph.D. in Agriculture).
