From 16 to 18 April 2019, the X Eurasian Economic Youth Forum (EEYF) "Russia - Asia - Africa - Latin America: Economy of Mutual Trust" will take place at Ural State University of Economics. USUE will be a meeting center of international economic and scientific elite.

Recently, the USUE delegation headed by the USUE rector Yakov Silin visited the German Steinbeis University in Stuttgart. One of the best private European universities presented to the guests a unique approach to applied master courses and practice-oriented education. The trip resulted in an agreement under which both parties had agreed to organize a joint exclusive master's training.

April 5, at the United Museum of Ural Writers a cooperation agreement was signed between USUE and the Museum. The document will allow for the realization of common tasks of the parties: promotion of patriotism and raising the educational level of young people.

The USUE delegation visited the city of Stuttgart (Germany) in order to become acquainted with training practices used at master’s courses of the Steinbeis University.

USUE   Rector Yakov Silin attended the international workshop “Climatic Risks of Economic Growth”, which took place on March 19 at the House of Economist.

In March, employees of the USUE research laboratory carried out research at the request of a fourth-year student of the Institute of Trade, Food Technologies and Service Elizaveta Tyshchenko. The results were included in the scientific paper, which she will report at the X Eurasian Economic Youth Forum.

The meeting took place on March 7 at the USUE roundtable. The reason for that was to sum up the development of cooperation in the field of education. USUE received a grant from the British Consulate in Yekaterinburg, in terms of which lecturers of Liverpool John Moores University Mr. Nicholas Wise and Ms. Kelly Maguire delivered a series of lectures for USUE students and staff.

Last Monday, the final stage of the 1st All-Russia scientific contest among foreign students of Russia took place. The competition was attended by foreign students of USUE and members of Yekaterinburg Association of International Students (AIS).

February 27, graduates of the USUE Institute of Extramural Training celebrated the completion of the course. 322 graduates received long-awaited diplomas of higher education in 9 areas and 17 specializations. Now they are qualified economists, financiers, commodity experts, managers, bankers, technologists, restaurateurs, and marketers.

Students of the USUE Institute of Finance and Law will be trained at the RF Central Bank. USUE rector Yakov Silin signed a cooperation agreement with the head of the Ural Branch of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Rustem Mardanov.

At USUE, Andrei Lipin, deputy director of the monetary policy department of the Bank of Russia, delivered a lecture on monetary policy. The meeting was opened by the head of the Urals Main Branch of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Rustem Mardanov: “The issue of monetary policy requires detailed analysis and development of relevant solutions.

February 20, USUE hosted the checkers championship as part of the annual Universiade among higher educational institutions of the Sverdlovsk region. This time, the athletes had a difficult task: for the first time, the players struggled for the title of Universiade checkers’champion. 7 universities of Yekaterinburg took part in the tournament.

USUE rector Yakov Silin met with a delegation from Bulgaria as part of VI Ural scientific readings of professors and postdoctoral students “New Industrialization of Russia: Economy - Science - Man - Nature Management”, which will be held at USUE on February 5-6.

Ural State University of Economics starts online games with chess players of the Sverdlovsk region. The first session of a simultaneous online game was held on January 29, 2019, and was timed to the opening of the Chess and Checkers Club established at the USUE Department of Chess Art and Computer Mathematics.

Consul General of France in Yekaterinburg Mr. Pierre-Alain Coffinier became a guest of the traditional event “Hour of Diplomat” at USUE. He told students about the history of relationship between France and Russia, political relations between the states, and cooperation between France and the Urals region.

February 5-6, 2019, the Ural Scientific Readings of professors and postdoctoral students “New Industrialization of Russia: Economics - Science - Man - Nature Management” will be held at USUE.

Director of the Food Production Facility Svetlana Kuznetsova told that in 2018, the sphere of catering at USUE has undergone many changes. The pastry shop was repaired, the washing place was redecorated and the radiators there were replaced. A new warehouse was equipped.

The award ceremony of the Governor's prizes traditionally took place on the Russian Students Day.

USUE hosted Commencement Exercises for its master’s graduates. 85 graduates received cherished diplomas in three areas of training: Economics, Management, and State and Municipal Management.

USUE students, graduates, and academic staff felt the approaching of the most fabulous holiday: the University held the New Year rector's ball.

USUE hosted a solemn awarding of USUE students – laureates and winners of the regional stage of the contest “Student of the Year - 2018” as well as the Sverdlovsk region Governor’s scholarship holders. The meeting began with an official ceremony.

New York has published an academic monograph "Women on Corporate Boards. An International Perspective”. Scientists and business practitioners from 10 countries of the world took part in the collective monograph: the USA, Great Britain, Austria, Australia, Sweden, Israel, Turkey, Poland, Estonia, and Russia.

USUE celebrates its 51st anniversary. Every year, early December, the University accepts congratulations from its graduates, lecturers, students, and partner companies. The University Day is one of the liveliest events of USUE.

From November 20 to November 24, table tennis competitions were held in Cheboksary. The Championship of Russia among persons under 23 with mobility disabilities united more than 60 sportsmen from all over the country.

November 22, youth forum "Professional Growth", a career event for students and graduates, was held at Hyatt Regency Ekaterinburg. USUE Students were actively involved in the forum.

The scientific school of Ural State University of Economics received a new textbook. Moscow publishing house has issued a manual “Intelligent Systems: Fundamentals of Fuzzy Sets Theory” (reissue) by a USUE lecturer Dmitry Nazarov.

November 21-22, the CORPSPACE 2018 forum was held in the Universitetsky High-Tech Technopark of the Sverdlovsk region. It is devoted to finding ways to interact with corporations in big data analysis.

General director of Sima-Land Denis Veshkurtsev held a seminar in Financial Monitoring and Risk Management for group OMZ–FM–18. The event was organized by the chair of the USUE Department of Financial Management Elina Zakirova.

November 15, 2018, USUE delegation visited ?buda University in Budapest. USUE Rector Yakov Silin and ?buda University Rector Mih?ly R?ger signed an agreement on joint activities. During the meeting, they discussed directions and efficient options for cooperation in the field of education and science.

В Екатеринбурге в рамках реализации гранта Всероссийского конкурса молодежных проектов состоялся Всероссийский студенческий форум по трудоустройству. Форум стал масштабной площадкой для взаимодействия образовательных организаций и работодателей и для обмена успешными практиками содействия трудоустройству.

С 1 по 14 ноября 2018 года в УрГЭУ прошёл VI Интерактивный конгресс студентов и магистрантов в режиме онлайн. Конгресс является традиционным и проводится по инициативе кафедры менеджмента УрГЭУ. Тема конгресса: «Стратегическое управление развитием: теоретический и практический аспект».

В целях реализации проекта «Внедрение системы комплексной профилактики нарушений обязательных требований» Уральским таможенным управлением 15 ноября 2018 года было организовано публичное обсуждение результатов правоприменительной практики, руководств по соблюдению обязательных требований таможенного законодательства с участниками внешнеэкономической деятельности.

Студенты второго курса профиля «Экономика и право хозяйственной деятельности» Института непрерывного образования успешно прошли сертификацию как профессиональные пользователи правовых информационных систем «КонсультантПлюс» и «Гарант».

16 ноября в УрГЭУ завершилась Неделя экономики, посвященная профессиональному Дню экономиста. Итоговым мероприятием стала «Своя игра», в которой участвовали студенты Института экономики и ученики школы № 84 10 и 11 классов.

Институт непрерывного образования подвел итоги конкурса эссе «Ресурсо-ориентированная экономика: проблемы и перспективы развития» среди обучающихся колледжей, техникумов, Института непрерывного образования по направлению «Управление качеством», «Финансовый менеджмент», «Экономика и право хозяйственной деятельности».

Делегация УрГЭУ во главе с ректором Яковом Силиным посетила с официальным визитом Университет Дунауйварош в Венгрии в рамках программы Erasmus+. Кульминационным моментом стало торжественное вручение ректору УрГЭУ Якову Силину диплома почетного профессора Университета Дунауйварош.

15-16 ноября в Тюмени прошёл второй «Открытый конгресс наставников», реализуемый Союзом наставников России при поддержке Министерства экономического развития РФ, Комитета по экономической политике, инновационному развитию и предпринимательству Государственной Думы РФ, Правительства Тюменской области, Тюменской областной Думы.

В течение трех недель в УрГЭУ работала Школа «Цифрового и аналитического маркетинга». 16 ноября кафедра маркетинга и международного менеджмента приняла проекты студентов, разработанные по заданию компании МТС, профессиональное жюри определило лучшую команду, что и стало финалом обучения в Школе.
