ECONOMY - LIKE A BOX OF CANDIES...
The most symbolic holiday for our university - Economist’s Day - is always celebrated with a series of various events. This year, there are many games devoted to the economy. Their goal is to captivate and involve economists and non-economists in one of the main areas of life of every person and the entire society.
Today, at the hall on the second floor of the university, students of the USUE Institute of Economics and Finance are holding an annual cultural and mass interactive event for everyone. The game is traditional, but the tasks are always different, because the topic of the economy is a storehouse of interesting facts.
The participants in the game move from table to table, trying to complete all the tasks. They make up a word from a set of letters on an economic topic, do crossword puzzles, take part in a blitz survey, where one needs to give three correct answers to questions, for example, which country’s currency is the tenge or what is the name of the difference between the selling price and the cost of production. There is a task to calculate the approximate cost of a serving of a particular dish: borscht, semolina, raspberry pie, etc.
Not only USUE students today are puzzled over economic riddles: the USUE Institute of Economics and Finance held several events at school No. 4 in Pervouralsk and at Lyceum No. 12 in Yekaterinburg for high school students of specialized economic classes.
Student activists of the USUE Institute of Economics and Finance held an Economic QUIZ. School students had to give correct answers to 30 questions on economics as soon as possible. Three winners received gifts from the university. The first-year students of the Institute of Economics and Finance will also take part in the same game today.
