Bulgarian university - a new USUE partner

USUE hosted an online meeting with representatives of the University of Food Technologies in Plovdiv. 

Representatives of USUE and the University of Food Technologies (Plovdiv) discussed some issues of future cooperation. On the part of Ural State University of Economics, the meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Social Work, Roman Krasnov, and a specialist of the International Cooperation Office, Anna Nekerova. The Bulgarian part was represented by Vice-Rector for Communication and Information Activities, Atanaska Teneva, Associate Dean of Projects Activities, Kiril Mihalev, and Senior Expert on International Cooperation, Magdalena Bakardjieva.

The meeting resulted in a cooperation agreement. Now, USUE students will be able to travel to Plovdiv on an exchange basis and study at the Bulgarian university under a double degree program; teachers will receive another platform for advanced training. Besides, USUE and the University of Food Technologies agreed to pursue joint research and team up in organizing lectures, workshops, roundtables, conferences, and other research-to-practice events.

“Our University has extensive experience in international cooperation. A recently as last year, 656 students from 24 countries of the world visited USUE under exchange programs. We are very pleased that now students from the University of Food Technologies will also come to us. I hope that the pandemic will end, and next year you will come to Yekaterinburg and will have a chance to participate in the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum,” Roman Krasnov addressed his Bulgarian colleagues.
