A lecturer at Wasit University (Republic of Iraq), Saad Musa Al Ogili, who completed his postgraduate studies at USUE in July 2018, in 2021 successfully defended his degree in his home country. Our congratulations!

A graduation ceremony was held for the USUE College students. The graduates were awarded diplomas of a non-university level higher vocational education. Besides, some of them received additional certificates of advanced training in 1C Accounting, certificates of appreciation for active involvement in the life of the College and University, and for fulfilling the student monitor duties.

At the ceremony of awarding diplomas and USUE badges, 250 graduates of the Institute of Management and Information Technologies (IMIT) received documents on higher education; among them were the first graduates of the Department of Chess Art and Computer Mathematics.

The publishing house of Ural State University of Economics has released the proceedings of the XI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum "Russia and the Regions of the World: Embodiment of Ideas and Economy of Opportunities," which took place from April 20 to 23 at USUE and gathered more than 5000 participants from Russia and abroad.

The USUE team won the first-place diploma at the 5th national scientific Olympiad in marketing. The Olympiad was organized by the Department of Marketing and Trade of Orenburg State University and took place on May 11-14, 2021.

May 26, at the USUE Center for Parallel and Continuing Education, more than 100 university teachers were awarded certificates of proficiency enhancement.

We congratulate a second-year student of the USUE Institute of Management and Information Technologies, Artyom Onoshko, who became a laureate of the XXIV national contest of research papers "Economic Growth of Russia” held among students of higher educational institutions." The young man received a special prize for the originality of the author's approach.

One of the events of MAEF-2021 at USUE was Vysota regional interactive forum of entrepreneurs dedicated to the Day of Russian Entrepreneurship and organized by the Ural Branch of the Free Economic Society of Russia, the Institute of Trade, Food Technologies and Services, and the USUE Department of Tourism Business and Hospitality. For the seventh time, Ural State University of Economics has held the Victory Waltz action, dedicated to the heroic deed of the Soviet people in the struggle against invaders. This date will stay forever not only in the history of Russia and the countries united by common Soviet history but also in the soul of each of us. Victory Day will forever remain in memory as a day of pride, great joy, and endless admiration for the feat of our heroic ancestors. We will always remember the tremendous efforts, hardships, and sacrifices at the cost of which the Great Victory was gained.

May 5-6, Ural State Economic University hosted a traditional regional basketball tournament among women's teams in memory of an honored coach of Russia Valentin Kirillovich Firsov, the grandfather" of Sverdlovsk basketball, a participant in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45.

Within the framework of the signed cooperation agreement between the Ural State University of Economics and Samarkand State University, was held an online meeting of the representatives of both universities with the presentation of USUE educational programs and areas of training for undergraduate and Master's degree students.

USUE became one of 90 sites in Yekaterinburg, where the third national action Dictation of Victory took place. 100 offline participants from among USUE students and teachers took part in writing the dictation.

The winners and runners-up of research work competitions of the XI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum have been decided. The rector of Ural State University of Economics Yakov Silin presented certificates, prizes, and commemorative tokens to the finalists of the congresses of economists, financiers, service technologies, strategists, and innovators.

21 April 2021, the 5th festival of cultures Around the World in 7 Days was held at Ural State University of Economics supported by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. The festival was a bright continuation of the XI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum.

April 24, the Universiade of the Sverdlovsk Region in table tennis took place in Yekaterinburg at Yuzhny stadium. The USUE women's team consisted of Anastasia Pereverzeva (team captain), Valentina Snezhko (group 20-02-ZIO1), Tatyana Lukyanova (group M-19-3), and Ekaterina Semyonova (group 20-02-B1).

On the second day of the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum, Ural journalists had the opportunity to ask questions to USUE Rector Yakov Silin and EEYF guests: Alexander Linnikov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Oleg Ivanov, Vice-Rector for Research at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Adu Yao Nikaz, the President of the Association of Foreign Students of Russia.

By the decision of the Academic Council of Ural State University of Economics, Rasul Olimovich Kholbekov, Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Accounting Department at Tashkent State University of Economics, was awarded the title of USUE Honorary Professor.
