In 2017, USUE, as part of a consortium of 11 European, Russian and Chinese universities, won an Erasmus + grant. The prestigious European grant is aimed at developing a system of pedagogical training for teachers of higher education in Russia and China.

The USUE Department of Financial Management conducted a 21 Century Financial Director quest for high school, college, and technical school students.

USUE students have become winners of the winter festival of the All-Russia Physical Culture and Sports Complex «Ready for Labor and Defense». Its participants were members of the university track and field athletics and cross-country skiing teams.
