A roundtable with international participation "Foreign experience of implementation of the third level of higher education" was held on February 14 at USUE. The key speaker was Dina Williams, professor at the Business School of the University of Leeds (UK), whose arrival became possible thanks to the support of the British Consulate in Yekaterinburg.

An interdepartmental meeting on security issues in educational organizations and improving the efficiency of juvenile delinquencies prevention was held at USUE. Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Tatiana Sinyugina assessed the activities in this area in the Ural Federal District.

Within the framework of the seminar, USUE Vice-Rector for Research Ruslan Dolzhenko told about the preparation of articles for foreign publications. Post-graduate students and members of the USUE Council of Young Scientists learned what IMRAD is and why it is so important. Besides, they figured out how to find the best journals on the subject of research and how to study the articles that are published in them.

On February 15, a youth quest "A Day with DOSAAF" was held at Ural State University of Economics. Twelve teams had to overcome eight difficult stages of the competition. The students passed through a minefield with their eyes closed, rescued a drowning man, learned to assemble and disassemble small arms, and trained some skills in military medicine.
