Seminar Five life hacks for young scientists on writing scientific articles at USUE

Within the framework of the seminar, USUE Vice-Rector for Research Ruslan Dolzhenko told about the preparation of articles for foreign publications. Post-graduate students and members of the USUE Council of Young Scientists learned what IMRAD is and why it is so important. Besides, they figured out how to find the best journals on the subject of research and how to study the articles that are published in them.

Ruslan Dolzhenko paid special attention to ways of working together on scientific articles in order to exclude the problems of overlapping different versions of texts after their completion by various co-authors. In the opinion of the deputy pro-rector, scientific achievements of the scientist depend on several key factors, one of them being the correct organization of work on the texts. At the seminar, Ruslan Dolzhenko shared his experience, which allows publishing works in various free High Attestation Commission (VAK)-approved magazines. In the course of three years, he published 68 VAK articles, five Scopus and WoS publications, three monographs, and 15 articles in journals from the RSCI list.

The participants of the seminar noted the high level of the event. According to the senior teacher of the USUE Department of Quality Management Tatiana Khudyakova, the information received is relevant for all researchers, especially young ones, who do not yet have the necessary skills.

The next seminar will be devoted to the fruitful preparation of theses, and to those life hacks who will allow a young scientist to carry out research at an accelerated pace. It is planned to hold such events at our University regularly.

We express our gratitude to the postgraduate department and the head of the Council of Young Scientists, which helped organize the seminar.
