February 28, a roundtable on the theory and practice of applying new technologies for laboratory research of food products, feedstuff and raw materials for their production was held at Ural State University of Economics. USUE hosted the annual scientific event organized by the staff of the Unified Laboratory Complex for the third time.

An unusual Gym class? was held in the sports complex of the Ural state University of Economics. It was held by participants of the UMMC basketball club, Euroleague and Russian Champions Natalia Vieru and Alba Torrens.

First-year students of the Institute of Trade, Food Technologies and Service studied culinary traditions, got creative and demonstrated acumen in the competition "Make Merry, Shrovetide!" The students competed in making pancakes together with schoolchildren.

As part of the working meeting of the Chess and Checkers Club, foreign students of Ural State University of Economics took part in the team chess tournament. The game involved teams of four institutes and the USUE faculty of pre-university training.

February 25, a meeting of the Commission for the Development of Competences and Qualifications System of the Sverdlovsk Regional Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs took place. The event was attended by 30 managers of manufacturing enterprises, as well as representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.
