October 2-3, students and teachers of the Department of Tourism Business and Hospitality of Ural State University of Economics took part in the International Tourism Exhibition EXPOTRAVEL-2020, one of the largest regional exhibitions in the tourist community of Yekaterinburg, co-organized by the Russian Union of Travel Industry.

In 2020, at the competition of young scientists of Russia for a commemorative N.D. Kondratieff medal, there were presented the scientific papers (cycle of works) by Ivan Aleksandrovich Antipin, Ph.D. in Economics, associate professor of the USUE Department of Regional and Municipal Economics and Management.

2020 has brought a lot of new things to our lives: from remote work and distance learning to face-mask requirements. These signs of the times can be endlessly discussed and even resisted, or one can make the best and positive out of everything. This is what, for example, Olga Zueva, head of the USUE Department of Commodity Science and Expertise, does, demonstrating a gift from her daughter: handmade gloves and a face mask.

We congratulate our students and postgraduates on the awarding of a scholarship from the Sverdlovsk Region Governor. In 2020, 15 USUE students will receive a regional award for academic and scientific achievements.

Maria Yufa, this academic year - a fourth-year student of the Institute of Trade, Food Technologies, and Services, has received two diplomas for the 12th ALL-RUSSIA CONTEST OF POETIC TRANSLATION "DIALOGUE OF CULTURES", which took place at the end of 2019: 1st place in the category "Students of non-linguistic specialties"/ "French as the second foreign language (translation from French into Russian)" and the Grand Prix of the French Embassy in Russia.
