2020 has brought a lot of new things to our lives: from remote work and distance learning to face-mask requirements. These signs of the times can be endlessly discussed and even resisted, or one can make the best and positive out of everything. This is what, for example, Olga Zueva, head of the USUE Department of Commodity Science and Expertise, does, demonstrating a gift from her daughter: handmade gloves and a face mask.
The mask and gloves are made of different fabrics, but in the same color scheme, decorated with applique embroidery, beads, and fabric flowers. The mask is reusable, but, as a hygienic one should be, it is equipped with a single-use filter (several disposable filters included).
“Despite the difficult coronavirus times, a woman always remains a woman. Face masks and gloves are a new fashion trend, a part of the modern woman wardrobe. Many young designers have paid attention to this accessory, making it a real decoration. That is a new area for creativity and fashion experiments. It is important to choose the right material, ensuring both beauty and safety,” Olga Zueva shares her opinion about her daughter’s gift.
Yevgenia, a fourth-year student, is pleased to demonstrate a stylish hygienic kit. “I would love to wear such a mask. As for gloves, I would wear them, perhaps, somewhere in a crowded place. They are not convenient to use the phone,” Yevgenia says.
