Cultural Education public organization of the Sverdlovsk region made a documentary film "Bazhov. Augmented Reality" about the famous Ural fairy-tale writer. It was filmed in Yekaterinburg, Sysert, Berezovsky, and on Mount Azov in the vicinity of Polevskoy. The authors of the film tried to compare and supplement the oeuvre of Pavel Bazhov with the realities, most likely he based on when creating his imperishable works.

From 17 to 20 December 2020, Yekaterinburg Rodina Sports Complex hosted sambo competition and championship of the Ural Federal District (URFO) among men and women.

Today, December 18, Yekaterinburg hosts a series of meetings with the author of the book Prison Diary, a member of the expert council under the Ombudsman for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Maria Butina, dedicated to the presentation of her book. The meetings are being organized by Ural State University of Economics. The author of the book together with the USUE rector told the story of Maria’s arrest and imprisonment in the United States, as well as why students and other people who faced lawlessness or got into trouble abroad need to know about it.

USUE is preparing for the 11th Eurasian Economic Youth Forum "Russia and Regions of the World: The Embodiment of Ideas and Economy of Opportunities," which will be held on April 20-23, 2021. The organizers are actively interacting with partners for upcoming contests of research projects for participants from all over the world.

December 15, Ural State University of Economics (USUE) hosted a roundtable "A foreign patient: problems and prospects for medical services exporting in the post-pandemic period." The roundtable was held under the project "Development of medical services export in the context of COVID-19 pandemic." The organizer of the roundtable was the USUE Institute of Continuing Education.
