A FOREIGN PATIENT: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF MEDICAL SERVICES EXPORTING IN THE POST-PANDEMIC PERIOD

December 15, Ural State University of Economics (USUE) hosted a roundtable "A foreign patient: problems and prospects for medical services exporting in the post-pandemic period." The roundtable was held under the project "Development of medical services export in the context of COVID-19 pandemic." The organizer of the roundtable was the USUE Institute of Continuing Education. 

The roundtable was opened by the USUE  Vice-Rector for Continuing Education and Career Guidance  Elena Knyazeva, Director of the USUE  Institute of Continuing Education. 


Elina Zakirova, and Honored Doctor of Russia, Head of the USUE Department of Social Economics Felix Badaev.   
 
The round table was attended by officials of the Sverdlovsk region Ministries of Economy and Health, USUE scientists and teachers, leading experts and practitioners, heads of medical institutions and medical officers, representatives of the tourism industry and public organizations.
The speakers talked about the hot issues of exporting medical services and how to attract residents of the CIS countries and far-abroad countries to the healthcare of the Sverdlovsk region. They considered tools for optimizing a communication campaign to raise awareness of foreign citizens about medical services and discussed marketing issues in the regional health care system.
