USUE Ph.D. student from Iraq gained an academic degree!

A lecturer at Wasit University (Republic of Iraq), Saad Musa Al Ogili, who completed his postgraduate studies at USUE in July 2018, in 2021 successfully defended his degree in his home country. Our congratulations!

On July 9, 2018, USUE held a ceremonial presentation of Postgraduate Certificates of the final third level of education. Six USUE postgraduate students, including a citizen of Iraq, Saad Musa Al Ogili, received certificates conferring qualification of Teacher-Researcher.


In 2018, Doctor Andrey Plakhin, the head of the USUE Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, became the thesis supervisor of Saad Musa Al Ogili. Under his guidance, in 2020, Saad Musa Al Ogili completed the preparation of his Ph.D. dissertation "Development of a process approach in the strategic management of a company's competitiveness."


Guided by Andrey Plakhin, the Ph.D. student published two dissertation-related articles in Web of Science, two articles in journals from the list of the RF Higher Attestation Commission, and three articles in RSCI journals, and fully completed the text of his thesis.


However, in June 2020, due to the death of his father, Saad Musa Al Ogili he had to leave the Russian Federation. Caused by the epidemiological situation, he stayed in Iraq, but, through thick and thin, in 2021, he successfully defended his dissertation at Wasit University (Republic of Iraq) with a Ph.D. degree in scientific specialty 08.00.05 – Economics and National Economy Management.
