Artyom Afanasiev, a student of the Institute of Master's Studies at Ural State University of Economics, won the national competition of youth projects "Microgrants".
4 561 applications were submitted for the Microgrants competition announced by Rosmolodezh and only 295 of them received grants. Artyom Afanasiev became one of only five participants from the Sverdlovsk region. He earned a #keep nomination.
With the money allocated by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Artyom will hold Be with Us festival at USUE. The idea is to popularize Russian cinema. Artyom Afanasiev offered to show films that would tell about significant events for our country from the point of view of history and culture. According to him, only Russian directors can make interesting movies about Russia.
The master student together with the members of the USUE film club Siyanie is now compiling a list of films to be shown. And these will not be just screenings: to discuss the film, apart from USUE students and teachers, they will invite representatives of the Sverdlovsk film studio.
The festival will last for eight months at the university and end with a final screening in one of Yekaterinburg cinema theatres. .
