The future is science!

USUE postgraduates obtained diplomas. They both studied and researched.

Five postgraduate students of the university received the documents on the completion of the third stage of higher education. And they are already pursuing science. Under a scientific grant, Ekaterina Khamzina, an intern researcher at the Scientific Innovation Center for Sensor Technologies, together with scientists from the USUE Department of Chemistry and Physics took part in the development of new electrochemical sensors and methods for the highly sensitive determination of synthetic food colorants. Together with another USUE postgraduate student, Ivan Brazhko, for several years, Ekaterina was a scholarship holder of the Sverdlovsk region Governor’s Award.

Timur Asylguzhin works as an engineer for the Novator design bureau. An Iraqi citizen Saleh Kamran Saeid Saleh researches the role of small and medium-sized businesses in the Russian economy. And Nikolay Fetisov works for the Ural branch of the Bank of Russia and researches digital currencies.

“USUE gave us practical knowledge that really helped me in building a career,” Nikolay Fetisov said. “In 2014, I came to Yekaterinburg from a neighboring region to earn a bachelor’s degree. I studied for four years, then undertook a master’s degree, and afterwards I entered a postgraduate school. I am grateful to the university for the opportunities it presented to me.”

USUE Vice-Rector for Research Victor Kovalyov congratulated the young scientists and expressed hope to see them again soon at the university to defend their dissertations.
