We honor memory and traditions
USUE Rector Yakov Silin took part in the plenum of the regional branch of DOSAAF of Russia in the Sverdlovsk region. At the meeting, the results of work in 2023 were summed up and plans for the future were outlined.
During his speech, USUE Rector Yakov Silin emphasized the special importance of military-patriotic education of youth in the context of a special military operation, noted the effectiveness and significance of the signed cooperation agreement with the regional branch of the Voluntary Society for Assistance to the Army, Aviation and Navy of Russia, and also shared the successful experience of conducting on the site of the university military sports game “DOSAAF Day”.
The event has been taking place at USUE for 8 years. In 2023, the project received grant support from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), which made it possible to expand the geography of participants. Over the course of three days, 150 students from 15 universities from all over the Ural Federal District learned to navigate the terrain, practiced theoretical and practical fire training skills, and passed GTO standards. The next military sports game “DOSAAF Day” will take place at USUE on February 16.
