FIFTH COMPETITION FEMALE FACE OF SCIENCE HAS BEEN LAUNCHED!
In 2021, the contest “Female Face of Science” arranged by the Russian Union of Young Scientists will be held in the Ural region for the fifth time! The awarding ceremony for the smartest girl in the Sverdlovsk region will take place in a solemn atmosphere on the eve of March 8.
The contest is organized by the Sverdlovsk regional branch of the all-Russia public organization "Russian Union of Young Scientists" (chaired by Olga Ergunova ). It is aimed to reveal the role of women in Ural science, to popularize scientific work, and to update research activities. Contestants should demonstrate their contribution to the development of scientific thought and draw public attention to their personal and professional achievements. The number of participants is growing from year to year. In 2017, 136 applications were submitted to the contest, in 2018 - 215, in 2019 - 256, and in 2020 - 295.
The age of the participants shall be up to 35 years (inclusive). Students of general educational institutions, colleges and universities, and employees of educational institutions, research institutes, academies, and universities of the Sverdlovsk region are invited to participate. Until March 1, one shall download, fill out, and file the questionnaire to http://womanscience.ru. The winners of the contest will be participants with the highest number of points in each category. The winners will be awarded with diplomas and gifts. The solemn ceremony will take place as part of the International Women’s Day celebration. The ceremony will be held in the Oscars format. The program of the holiday includes VIP-congratulations, a show program, and a photo session.
