Dictation of Victory at USUE!

USUE became one of 90 sites in Yekaterinburg, where the third national action Dictation of Victory took place. 100 offline participants from among USUE students and teachers took part in writing the dictation.  

The main questions concerned the events of the beginning and the first year of the Great Patriotic War, its first heroes, and great military commanders. For example, the Soviet commanders — Georgy Zhukov and Konstantin Rokossovsky, who are reckoned the most outstanding commanders of the Second World War and are among the chief creators of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In 2021, they both would be 125 years old.  

The questions for the dictation were prepared by experts from the Russian Military Historical Society and Russian State University for the Humanities. For 45 minutes, the participants completed 25 tasks: 20 questions on a general military history topic and 5 questions on regional themes.

Everyone who has written a dictation can find out the results on the website of the action https://диктантпобеды.рф, or in a letter that will come by e-mail on June 24.

Angelica, a 3rd-year student at the USUE Institute of Economics:

— This is my first time participating in the action. I thought it was an excellent chance to check my knowledge on the history of the Great Patriotic War. I believe that the action is necessary to preserve the memory of the war and to communicate this knowledge to younger sisters, brothers, and children in the future.
