We are friends with countries, we are friends with universities

USUE rector Yakov Silin took part in the celebrations of the 32nd anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. Festive events were organized by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Yekaterinburg.

The event was attended by representatives of socio-political, business, scientific and academic communities of Yekaterinburg, heads of diplomatic missions, activists of ethno-cultural centers, representatives of higher educational institutions and students who study there.

Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Yekaterinburg, Abdusalom Khatamov, noted the reforms and modernization carried out in recent years in his country. Many of the positive changes have become possible due to the high level of development of Uzbek-Russian relations and cooperation between our countries. Rector of Ural State University of Economics, Yakov Silin, recalled that students from Uzbekistan remained one of the most widely represented groups among USUE international students and expressed hope that even more young people from Central Asia would receive higher education in the Ural region.

Today, USUE maintains international cooperation with seven universities of Uzbekistan: Bukhara State University, Namangan Engineering and Technology Institute, Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov, Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, Tashkent Institute of Finance, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy under Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Tashkent State University of Economics.
