Ekaterina Pastushkova - a laureate of the Governors Award Associate Professor of the Year

For USUE, the Day of Russian Students became a "double" holiday: an associate professor of the Department of Merchandising and Goods Expertise Ekaterina Pastushkova won the award of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region in the category "Associate Professor of the Year".

At the solemn ceremony, where the best professors, associate professors and faculty members of the universities of the region were invited, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Yevgeny Kuyvashev thanked the audience for the great contribution to strengthening the prestige of the Ural higher school and training of high skilled specialists for the economy of the Middle Urals.

“You transfer valuable knowledge and skills to students and young colleagues every day, using the most modern educational technologies and innovative methods in the process of training. It is symbolic that our ceremony coincides with a remarkable student's holiday - Tatiana's Day. The work of each teacher is inconceivable without students. I am sure your students will admire you even more when they learn about your victory," the Governor said.

In 2004, Ekaterina Pastushkova graduated from Ural State University of Economics with a degree in Merchandising and Goods Expertise. Six years later, she defended her Ph.D. thesis "Forming the consumer properties of tea with additives of plant raw materials antioxidant targeted." Ekaterina Vladimirovna is the author of two inventions: "The way of obtaining tea with additives" and "The tea drink (variants) and the method of its obtaining", as well as the computer certificates "Selection of the bioprotector according to the given criteria, organoleptically compatible with the enriched product (inventor's certificate)”. She is the author of two dozen scientific articles in journals, reviewed by the Higher Attestation Commission, and co-author of teaching aids. In addition, she can often be seen as a speaker at international scientific and practical conferences. Today Ekaterina Vladimirovna conducts practical classes and deliver lectures for USUE students and actively collaborates with postgraduate and doctoral students of the department.

This year, the competition for the award of the Sverdlovsk region Governor was held for the seventh time. The expert jury considered 52 applicants from 15 universities of the region.
