Economic books by USUE authors are again in top ranks.

The social award "Economic Book of the Year 2025" was established by the Free Economic Society of Russia to recognize the best economic publications and reward their authors. It continues the traditions of the Imperial Free Economic Society. The award has been presented annually since 2018.

The nominees for the award are publications on economics written in Russian, as well as Russian translated ones originally written in foreign languages and published in print and/or digital and falling into one of the following categories: monographs, textbooks and teaching aids, analytical and popular science publications.

The books nominated for participation in the competition are publications on economics (both printed and electronic publication must be with ISBN), published between October 2024 and October 2025 inclusive, in Russian, as well as Russian translated originally written in foreign languages, came out in printed and/or electronic formats and included in one of the following three categories:

  1. monographs;
  2. textbooks and teaching aids;
  3. publications of an analytical and popular science nature.

From July to September 2025, the Ural Branch of the Free Economic Society of Russia and Ural State University of Economics held the regional stage of the "Economic Book of the Year" social award. Following the qualifying round, 13 publications were nominated for the award:

The award ceremony is planned as part of the All-Russia Economic Assembly dedicated to the professional holiday "Economist's Day" (November 11, 2025).
