Tomorrow is another day

Ural State University of Economics celebrated the tenth anniversary of its club of veterans.

The club was established on the initiative of Georgy Germanaidze, Ph.D., who worked at USUE from the day of its foundation.

As the organizer of the club Lyudmila Yunusova told "our main goal is not to lose contact with each other, that is, between teachers and staff who devoted a significant period of their life to the University."

For ten years, many meetings were held on different topics, such as "Grannie’s Trunk", "Waltz Evening", meetings in a poetic club with students, and the meeting on financial literacy, together with the director of the USUE Institute of Finance and Law Maxim Maramygin. Veterans discovered modern Yekaterinburg, looked at it in a new way having a tour around the city.

The meetings, as veterans confessed, allow them to be not only aware of the latest cultural events but also to keep young souls. They support the connection of generations, communicating with the youth of the university. At the jubilee, the club members summed up the results of the first decade and built plans for the near future. A creative gift for them was the performance of students from the vocal studio and the vocal ensemble "Caprice".
