Guests from Sri Lanka have arrived in the Urals

The delegation of Vavuniya University of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has arrived at USUE. A cooperation agreement will be signed in the near future.

The head of the delegation, director of the international department of the University of Vavuniya, Ravinthirakumaran Navaratnam, noted that he was glad to be in Yekaterinburg and pleased with the way the discussion of future cooperation between universities was going on, an agreement on which the parties hope to sign in the coming autumn.

USUE and the University of Vavuniya began discussing cooperation issues back in December 2022, when an online meeting was held. The Russian and Sri Lankan universities plan to develop academic mobility programs, organize online guest lectures and joint research projects in the fields of economics, international business, and management. Apart from that, USUE acting rector, Roman Krasnov, invited guests from Sri Lanka to take part in the XIV Eurasian Economic Youth Forum, to be held in spring 2024.

The University of Vavuniya was founded in 1991 and currently trains over 2,300 students. The university is the top center of learning and research in Sri Lanka, which provides higher education in 13 training programs in applied sciences, management, and technological studies.
