Humanitarian Olympus conquered by international students

The national competition in humanities is held by USUE together with AIS for the third time. Its aim is to find talented international students from Russian universities. This year, over a hundred participants from Iraq, Zambia, Equatorial Guinea, China, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Gabon, Egypt, Kazakhstan, and Karaganda displayed their knowledge. Many students applied to take part in several areas of the competition.

Rector of Ural State University of Economics, Doctor of Economics, Professor Yakov Silin congratulated the participants and wished them every happiness and success: “Those who came have already won: they beat their fear and embarrassment, tested their knowledge, showed their ambitions. I wish you a successful completion of your studies in Russia. Our country welcomes everyone who comes to us with good intentions.”

ADU YAO NIKEZ, president of the Association of International Students (AIS), Secretary of AIS Board of Trustees, thanked the USUE team for organizing the event and congratulated the winners: “I would like to thank USUE rector Yakov Silin. Ural State University of Economics is the only university in Russia, which supports all of our initiatives. Everyone who showed their knowledge at this Olympiad overcame all difficulties and contributed greatly to their own future.

The winner of the III National Scientific Competition in the Humanities among international students became Olga Pronina, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. Vladislav Nurmatov, USUE, took second place. Third place diploma was handed over to Khairolu Janyerke, Ural Law University named after V.F. Yakovlev.

The winner of the What? Where? When? intellectual game was the team Solntse (Sun).

In the contest of projects, the winners of the III National Scientific Competition in the Humanities among international students in the area of Economics were USUE students: the third place was taken by Zalina Tokhaeva, the second place winner was Vladislav Nurmatov, and the first place diploma was awarded to Akue Messomo Diana. 

In Political Science and Law, third place was taken by Lyn Nechitima Chiwaraidzo, Ural State University of Economics; second place award was given to two finalists at once - Nizomiddin Safarov, Ural State University of Economics, and Munkhbayar Delgarbayaru, Ural Law University named after V.F. Yakovlev. Ariunsuhu Barkhas, Ural Law University named after V. F. Yakovlev, was announced the winner in Political Science and Law.

In the area of History, they presented a third place diploma to Umide Bahramova, Ural State Mining University; second place went to Sangov Lutfullo, Ural State University of Economics; the winner was Abdulhadi Sameru Abdulamir Abdulhadi, Ural State University of Economics.

Students of USUE institutes showed their talents on stage, having prepared a colorful dance show and soulful vocal performances.
