Information for USUE international students on entry to Russia

At present, the air border of the Russian Federation is open to citizens of 60 countries. In this case, no additional documents are required but stating the purpose of entry in the migration card. To cross the land border, it is necessary to send information on the date and time of entry, the checkpoint, the vehicle, and an ID document to the head of the USUE International Relations Office at least ten days before the entry.
All the information will be entered on the Government Services website, where it will be checked, and, thereafter, a person will be approved to enter Russia. ATTENTION! Everybody arriving to study must provide a negative PCR test for COVID-19 taken no earlier than 72 hours before crossing the border. After entering the country, you will need to re-test. If a negative test result is received, USUE international students will be provided with dormitory accommodation.

IMPORTANT: All those arriving to study must present a negative PCR COVID-19 test result, dated no later than 72 hours before crossing the border. On arrival, USUE students shall be met by University staff and escorted until their settling in a dormitory. After entering Russia, one should re-take the PCR test within three days from the arrival.

Rules for settling in a student dormitory:


1. When entering the Russian Federation, you must do a PCR test for COVID-19.

2. Before settling in a dormitory, one should wait for the test result.

3. In case of a negative result, a student will undergo a medical examination at ul. Belinskogo, 86.

4. Having the results of the medical examination and two negative PCR tests for COVID-19 (taken before arrival and upon arrival in the Russian Federation), and 4 photos (3x4), students should apply for check-in to Elena Valerievna Onishchenko at office 159.

5. If available, a document confirming vaccination against coronavirus infection or Covid-19 illness within the last six months or a medical  contraindication to vaccination (except for persons under 18 years of age).

IMPORTANT: If you were vaccinated against COVID-19 within the past 12 months or have a certificate on suffering COVID-19 disease over the past six months, a laboratory PCR test for COVID-19 is not required. The test results or information on suffering coronavirus disease are posted on the Portal of Government Services within four days from the date of arrival in Russia.
