THE AGREEMENT WILL WIDEN COOPERATION
Acting USUE Rector Sergei Rogozhin and the director of the Union of Machine-Building Enterprises of the Sverdlovsk region (Russian abbreviation - SMPSO) Andrei Bukhmastov signed an agreement on cooperation between Ural State University of Economics and SMPSO .
The signing of the document took place in a pavilion of the International Trade Fair INNOPROM, within the framework of the 5th Russian-Chinese EXPO.
The agreement provides for the cooperation of the parties in educational and scientific activities. The key objectives of the document are the development of research on matters of current interest for machine-building enterprises of the Sverdlovsk region, and the efficient use of the University's resources for the regional economy developing and improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the region.
A new field in the joint work of the University and the Union will be the upgrading of qualification of managers and specialists of machine building enterprises through advanced training courses. Today, the machine building industry needs high skilled specialists of a "new formation" - with knowledge in planning and costing and ability to client-oriented thinking. It is precisely with such professionals that USUE can help the company.
In turn, the University's management is aimed at bridging the gap between the real sector of economy and the learning process, so it is ready to involve practitioners in the educational process for teaching, supervising of qualifying papers, and taking part in State Examinations Commission.
