The Chinese Consul in Yekaterinburg met with USUE students from China.

At the Ural State University of Economics, staff from the Chinese Consulate General in Yekaterinburg advised Chinese students on how to live, study, and conduct themselves in the Ural capital and at the university.

At the beginning of the meeting, Oksana Bazhenova, Head of the USUE International Cooperation Department, emphasized the greatness of both countries and the strengthened friendly relations between them, clarifying that USUE currently collaborates with 16 universities in China.

"This cooperation is very important to us," Oksana Bazhenova shared her impressions. "We see it developing and gaining momentum. We see our foreign partner's interest in this matter, and how they're accommodating in many ways and quickly intervening to resolve any issues that arise. This is fantastic and provides excellent motivation for further collaboration."

Sun Lailin, Consul for Education at the Chinese Consulate General in Yekaterinburg, thanked his colleague for his high assessment of the cooperation between the countries and also noted his side's clear interest in such a partnership.

"We're very pleased to be collaborating with USUE," Sun Lailin noted in his speech. "We quickly found common ground, work harmoniously and productively, and quickly reach consensus. We're already seeing positive results from our collaboration, and we'll keep moving forward!"

During the meeting, Sun Lailin informed the students about China's achievements in high-tech manufacturing, which have enabled it to overcome economic challenges, and shared information on the latest scientific developments. The consul also reminded the Chinese students attending the meeting of the need to protect their property and funds in their new country, maintain their health, observe safety precautions, and, if necessary, contact law enforcement.

The head of the consular department, Feng Tao, reminded those present of the great Russian culture and suggested that they get to know it through feature films.

"It's very important to honor the laws of the country you're in, respect your teachers, and consider the religious beliefs of your dormmates," Feng Tao emphasized in his speech. He urged his compatriots to be diligent students in order to secure good jobs in the future.

The speaker also drew the students' attention to the problem of fraud, which has been rapidly gaining momentum recently, and tried to warn them as much as possible. The head of the consular department described the current fraudulent methods and how to combat them.

Wang Zhe, an employee of the consular section of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Yekaterinburg, spoke to those gathered about the document processing procedure and the procedures to follow in the event of a lost passport.

Chinese students were also active at the meeting, asking questions of the visiting experts. They were primarily concerned about what assistance they could receive at the Chinese Consulate in Yekaterinburg if they contacted it, and what specific questions they should bring. The Chinese students also inquired about visa regulations and the rules of stay in Russia.

It's worth noting that the meeting was extremely productive. The Chinese students thanked the representatives of the Chinese Consulate General in Yekaterinburg for their involvement in their lives with applause and took a group photo.
