November 8, 2022, the first tournament in the history of Sverdlovsk basketball in the history of Sverdlovsk basketball was held in the university gym in honor of the 95th birth anniversary of the best of the best players not only in our region but also in Russia - Lev Borisovich Reshetnikov.
At the opening ceremony of the tournament, the participants visibly felt the presence of Lev Borisovich through the video footage and panels. The feeling of belonging to the great inspires and charges with additional energy. And it was noticeable in the actions of the players of all participating teams. The players were students from USURT, UralGUFC (Ural State University of Physical Culture), and USUE. In the same order, they finished the competition, having received memorable pennants and warm applause from the fans.
The main achievements of all basketball players were the staginess of the game, which was formed of the speed of movement, the variety of interactions, and beautiful techniques. Savely Orlov (USURT) impressed the public with slam dunks, Daniil Yurkov (UralGUFC) showed a variety of effective methods of hoops, Maxim Mityukhlyaev will be best remembered for graceful outside shots and turnovers, and Yevgeny Avdyukov (both USUE) - with block shots. At the court, there was a result-oriented for-real game. So, it was and make it happen! The prize of the best player of the tournament went to Makar Kinev (USURT), but there were many other prize contenders and this is certainly a pleasant fact. And I would like to see such a game once more.
