A course in Noonomics: for those who want to be in trend!

Ural State University of Economics (USUE) hosted an introductory lecture on noonomics, which included theory and practical exercises. The audience was USUE master’s students and students of the joint educational program of the Tashkent State University of Economics (TSUE) and USUE, who arrived at the workshop “Lines of Cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan.”

A lecture on the theory of noonomy was delivered by Svetlana Pyankova, professor at the USUE Department of Regional and Municipal Economics and Management, a member of the Presidium of the Ural Branch of the Free Economic Society of Russia. She told the students how this challenging interdisciplinary theory had come into being, what problems it solved, and how much it was in demand at the world level.

Noonomics touches upon economic issues, especially under the current conditions of the post-COVID period, studies the view of meeting human needs in philosophy, history, and different cultures, and analyzes current trends, such as mass digitalization. At the lecture, we become acquainted with scientific works and publications on noonomics, in particular, the journal Noonomy and Noosociety, established by the S.Y. Witte Institute for New Industrial Development. The journal is published in Russian, Chinese, English and other languages and presents the latest research by authors from all over the world,” explained Svetlana Pyankova.

For many years, USUE has been fulfilling the mission of introducing the course of noonomics to a wide range of trainees. Lectures are popular with students from the Ural Federal District and other regions of Russia and countries, as well as government officials and business community.

Students of USUE and TSUE became acquainted with the theory of noonomy and developed projects.
