Consul delivers lectures at USUE

Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Yekaterinburg Mr. Zafar Sayidzoda will give lectures at USUE as part of an additional professional educational program for advanced training “Tour guidance.”

At the USUE Extended Education Institute, the diplomat will teach the course “Tourist and recreational potential of the Sverdlovsk region”, within which he will tell how to build a cultural dialogue between Russia and Tajikistan and mutually attract tourists. Besides, the Consul General of Tajikistan in Yekaterinburg, Zafar Sayidzoda, will tell the program attendees about the techniques for organizing foreign travels and building business communications.

Zafar Sayidzoda was born on December 18, 1961 in Dushanbe. He holds a degree in history. In 1983, he graduated from the Faculty of History of the Tajik State University. In 1989, he defended his Ph.D. thesis in social philosophy, in 2016, he became a Doctor of Historical Sciences. Zafar Sayidzoda was appointed Consul General of Tajikistan in Yekaterinburg on February 17, 2020.

The diplomat actively takes part in the events of Ural State University of Economics. One of the latest is the roundtable “New Meanings of Cultural and Educational Tourism”, organized by the USUE Department of Tourism Business and Hospitality.

“In recent years, Russians like to visit Dushanbe. When they come to the capital of Tajikistan, their stereotypes about our country become destroyed: they admire the modern architecture, the monument of Ismoil Somoni and the Palace of Nations (Kokhi Millat). The ideas of Russian tourists about real life in Tajikistan are changing for the better,” Zafar Sayidzoda said.

Relations between Tajikistan and Russia in terms of tourism are very promising. Since the beginning of this year, almost 60,000 Russians have visited Tajikistan as tourists. However, to spark the interest of Russian travelers in Tajikistan, and Tajik tourists in the Urals, we need well-trained guides.

Mutual tourism is beneficial for both sides
