USUE is developing ties with Myanmar

August 3, Roman Krasnov, USUE Vice-Rector for Social Work, and Margarita Medvedeva, head of USUE International Cooperation Office, visited a number of key diplomatic missions of Asia. The purpose of the trip was the development of long-term cooperation in the field of education.

Among others, there was a meeting in the Embassy of Myanmar. The initiator of the meeting with the delegation of Ural State University of Economics was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Myanmar in the Russian Federation Mr. Ko Ko Shein, head of the diplomatic mission in Russia. The ambassador noted that Myanmar students studying in Russia receive government scholarships (they are granted by three departments: the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Ecology). Mr. Ambassador took interest in specialties presented at Ural State University of Economics and it was decided to start cooperation.

In conclusion, Roman Krasnov inscribed his name in the distinguished visitors’ book and entered wishes for the prosperity of Myanmar.
