International Conference European Interregionalism and Greater Eurasia: Theory and Practice of Regional Integration

The chair of the USUE Department of International Business Victor Kovalev and associate professors of the same Department Oksana Falchenko and Irina Savelieva took an active part and delivered reports at the major International Conference "European Interregionalism and Greater Eurasia: Theory and Practice of Regional Integration", organized on April 20-21, 2018, by the Department of Theory and History of International Relations at Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. Yeltsin.

The report of the chair of the USUE Department of International Business "Customs Effects as New Challenges for Eurasian Economic Integration" was presented at the plenary session of the conference. Доклад подготовлен в рамках работы над грантом Российского фонда фундаментальных исследований (РФФИ) № 18-010-01209 « Формирование организационно-экономической модели управления таможенными эффектами Евразийской экономической интеграции и оценка их влияния на механизм реализации согласованной агропромышленной политики», который коллектив кафедры внешнеэкономической деятельности выиграл в 2017 году. The report was prepared as part of the work under the grant of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) No. 18-010-01209 "Forming an organizational and economic model for managing customs effects of the Eurasian economic integration and assessing their impact on the mechanism for implementing the agreed agro-industrial policy" in 2017.

В работе пленарного заседания приняли участие ученые из крупнейших вузов России (Санкт-Петербургский университет, НИУ Высшая школа экономики, МГИМО МИД России, Национальный исследовательский Томский государственный университет и другие), ученые и эксперты из Италии, Китая, Таиланда, Румынии и других стран. Scientists from the largest universities of Russia (St. Petersburg University, the Higher School of Economics, MGIMO, National Research Tomsk State University and others), scientists and experts from Italy, China, Thailand, Romania, and other countries took part in the plenary session.

Associate professors of the USUE Department of International Business Oksana Falchenko and Irina Savelieva made presentations at the conference sections. Their reports concerned various aspects of the Eurasian economic integration and were prepared under the RFBR grant No. 18-010-01209
To speak at the international conference is both a great responsibility and a great piece of luck: USUE lecturers had a chance to discuss with the colleagues and fellow-thinkers the problems of Eurasian economic integration, compare their approaches to research in this field with the approaches of other Russian and foreign scientists, take part in discussions on the development of interdisciplinary approaches to studying various aspects of the Eurasian integration, consider the possibilities for further joint interuniversity cooperation in the preparation of scientific articles and collective monographs indexed in international databases.
