Peace, friendship, USUE

Students from 60 countries of the world study at Ural State University of Economics! All they make far-reaching plans for the future, dream of an interesting high-paying job, and are ready to change the world for the better. The correspondents of the University press service met with international students to find out how they got to USUE and how they see their future.

Maxim Starostin, Tashkent, Uzbekistan:

- I started a master’s degree in Management (Strategic and Project Management program). I did a bachelor's here, at USUE, and decided to continue my studies.

I got to know USUE when in Tashkent, at the Russian Center for Science and Culture, there was a meeting with the University officials: Irina Evgenievna Martyanova and Natalya Gennadyevna Chvyaeva. I got interested in the opportunity to study in Russia, in a large city, at a prestigious university. Having examined the information through the Internet, I decided to enter USUE. I did not need to go to Yekaterinburg for this - the entrance tests were held in Tashkent. I passed them with flying colors and won a grant, which means I studied Informatics and Computer Engineering free of charge.

Matta Yussf , Cairo, Egypt :

- I decided to enter USUE because my friends are already studying here and they invited me to come to Yekaterinburg. Now I am a first-year student majoring in International Management. I have already studied management in my home country, but, as I would like to work for a large international company in the future, the experience of studying at a foreign university would not hurt me.

Ibrahim Niane , Dakar, Senegal:

- It is my first year at the university, I will study the world economy. Of all the available options for studying abroad, USUE in Yekaterinburg was my favorite. I am sure that here I can gain knowledge that will be in demand in my homeland because after graduation I will return to Senegal.

Yassine Benthal, Casablanca, Morocco:

- I am fresh in Yekaterinburg; I have just started studying at the Preparatory Faculty. My friend has been living in Russia for seven years, and now he is a third-year student at USUE. He blogs about his life and studies here. I can say that I was inspired by his videos, so I came to Yekaterinburg to learn Russian.
