USUEU PARTNERS FOR EEFM ARE IN THE EDUCATIONAL TOUR IN RUSSIA
As part of an educational tour in Russia, representatives of the higher and professional education of Peru visited the Ural State University of Economics. The Russian and Peruvian sides discussed possible options for cooperation, including student exchange and the organization of the XII EEYF.
USUE rector, Yakov Silin, told the guests about the training programs implemented at Ural State University of Economics, key events held by the university and invited the delegates to visit XII EEYF, which USUE will host next spring.
“I am glad to meet with colleagues from another country, who, like USUE, are engaged in the most important thing - teaching of new generations. We are already collaborating with Peru on joint research publications and student and faculty exchange programs. Today, four students from Peru are studying at our university. I am sure that over time this number will increase, and the friendship of our countries will only grow stronger,” stressed Yakov Silin.
“I would like to thank your university for its willingness to implement a variety of ideas. I am glad to be present in the capital of Urals and to determine our joint actions for the near future,” said Mr. Luis Cesar Molina Almanza, head of administration of the Simon Bolivar Public Institute of Higher Technological Education.
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged gifts. The USUE rector presented a painted tray and a piece of Ural verd antique to the delegates of the Latin American country. Luis Cesar Molina Almanza presented Yakov Silin with a decorative ceramic figurine and an embroidered scarf.
Ural State University of Economics has maintained friendly relations with Peru since 2018. During the FIFA World Cup, which was held in Yekaterinburg, a mobile consulate of the Peruvian Republic was located at USUE. Later, in 2019, the Latin American country became an EEYF partner of the University. At that time, they signed a cooperation agreement, and, as part of X EEYF, Mr. Luis Cesar Molina Almanza delivered a lecture at USUE on the relationship between Latin American countries and Russia.
