USUE MUSEUM GATHERS INFORMATION ABOUT WAR VETERANS

Every year, during the celebration of the Great Victory, USUE takes part in the Immortal Regiment movement. The Museum of USUE History stores in its funds exhibits related to the Great Patriotic War, the participation of teachers and students in memorable events, and the reminiscences of veterans. Since last year, the Museum has been collecting artifacts concerning relatives and friends of teachers, employees, and University students and graduates who had gone through the roads of war.

Oksana Arkhipova, director of the Museum of USUE History, informs that this year the work on the formation of the museum archive of Immortal Regiment continues. In this regard, she appeals to the staff, teachers, and students with a request to participate in this and transfer for permanent or temporary storage photos, printed information, personal memories, awards, uniforms, and memorabilia belonging to relatives and friends who fought in the years of World War II or forged victory on the home front.

At your request, the Museum staff will make copies of the documents provided and return the originals to you. The gathered information about veterans is planned to be published in the University media on the eve of May 9, 2021.
Perhaps you have other things, documents, books, household items, or devices that have long become history and are out of use - all these can become part of the funds of the USUE Museum. Please bring them and they will be accepted with gratitude. The preservation of history for future generations is our common task.
