Scientific cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan

Rector Yakov Silin took part in events devoted to the 70th anniversary of one of the main international partners of USUE - the M. Ryskulbekov Kyrgyz Economic University.

As part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary, the international research-to-practice conference “New Challenges of Economic Reality” is being held at KEU. Yakov Silin moderated the section dedicated to the work of the Eurasian Network University and cooperation in vocational education in the Eurasian Economic Union.

Marina Vidrevich, associate professor of the USUE Department of Public Administration, also took part in the work of this section. She made a report on the development of the university education system in Russia and Kyrgyzstan in the 21st century. About 50 scientists and representatives of higher education from both countries took part in the session.

KEU and USUE are long-time partners. The universities are actively developing academic mobility programs. Students from Kyrgyzstan come to study in Russia on exchange programs and vice versa. In 2022, KEU became one of the foreign platforms of the XII EEYF. And in 2023, KEU students became finalists in six competitions, showing the best results among over 200 participants.

Events devoted the 70th anniversary of KEU run in parallel with international summits in the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. Heads of governments from CIS countries and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will meet in Bishkek for negotiations on October 26.
