Today, as part of a working trip to Uzbekistan, USUE Rector Yakov Silin met with representatives of the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry. The parties discussed cooperation on double degree programs.

Ural State University of Economics is represented by Rector Yakov Silin, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Teaching Methods and Quality of Training, Dmitry Karkh and director of the Institute of Continuing and Distance Education Ekaterina Yalunina.

During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of cooperation on double degree programs. Such a program will allow students from Uzbekistan to receive two diplomas at once, studying full time at their university and using distance learning technologies at USUE.

Besides, the delegations discussed the implementing of joint projects and opening of a territorial access center at the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry.

Representatives of USUE went on an excursion to the technology park of the Tashkent Institute, where they got acquainted with the technological processes of textile products manufacturing.

USUE is actively developing cooperation with higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. One of the latest was a cooperation agreement between Ural State University of Economics and the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry. The universities will carry out joint research, organize and participate in international educational projects.
