ABOUT THE RUSSIAN ECONOMY IN ENGLISH

A roundtable in English "Hot Issues, Achievements, and Innovations in Professional Environment" was held at Ural State University of Economics. The annual event organized by the USUE Institute of Trade, Food Technologies and Service and the Department of Foreign Languages ?? was held for the third time.

The roundtable participants were teachers, students of schools, universities and colleges of Yekaterinburg, Moscow, Tyumen, Yaroslavl, Nyagan, and Kaluga. They reported on their studies in economics, law, information technologies, and technical sciences.

“The purpose of our roundtable is to attract school and university students to research work, to develop their communication and speaking skills and knowledge of business English,” said Natalya Sosnina, senior lecturer, USUE Department of Foreign Languages.

“I prepared a report on the financial awareness of people in Russia and the world. I believe that the country’s economy much depends on how well its people can use their money. The low level of such knowledge results in negative consequences not only for consumers of financial services but also for the society as a whole. A high level of people’s financial awareness contributes to social and economic stability in the country,” said Anastasia Tuktamysheva, a student at the USUE Institute of Economics.
