One of the smartest students of Urals studies at USUE
The final of the 6th regional contest “Female Face of Science” gathered in Yekaterinburg the brightest girls of the Urals. This year, the contest brought together participants from all regions of the Ural Federal District: over 500 participants no older than 35, students and persons employed at educational and scientific institutions.
A student of the USUE Institute of Economics and Finance, Elena Sedunova, won the nomination “Science for Business”. Elena is a holder of USUE scholarship, the award of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region and the Government of the Russian Federation.
“I was extremely happy! I expected I could get a prize in the nomination for students. However, the jury awarded me the victory in a higher nomination. The number of research papers (19 in 2021) and the fact that I am both an employee of the Central Bank and the Minister of Economy and Territorial Development of the Junior Government of the Sverdlovsk region especially surprised the organizers. I was deeply impressed with the ceremony and communication with the guests!” Elena said.
Really, the girl has an impressive list of achievements. Elena Sedunova takes part in regional grants, publication of monographs reviewed by the Higher Attestation Commission, and articles published in RSCI. The young scientist spoke at international forums and science-to-practice conferences, such as “The Future of Science - 2021”, Eurasian Economic Youth Forum, International Student Olympiad, First Economic Hackathon, and others.
