On June 6, a poetic marathon “He Conquered Both Time and Space” took place, timed to the birthday of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. USUE rector Yakov Silin and university students were the participants at the event.
As usual, festive events were held on the square in front of the Church-on-the-Blood with the support of the St. Catherine’s Foundation. Despite the cloudy weather, about 200 residents of Yekaterinburg came to remember the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin.
Yakov Petrovich spoke to the participants of the poetic marathon: he read the poem “Perfidy”, written by Pushkin in 1824 but which has not lost its relevance to this day.
There were honored guests who joined the marathon: People’s Artist of Russia Olga Ostroumova, a professional mixed martial artist Ivan Shtyrkov, a poet and musician Vadim Samoilov, and some others.
