Great start!

At the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens, the final exams have started. The first to pass certification testing were 65 students who arrived at USUE in the fall of 2022.

For several months, young people, mostly from African countries, studied Russian as a foreign language. To master the basic level program not only lectures were held, but also thematic roundtables, meetings with Russian-speaking students at the USUE History Museum (Cosmonautics Day , Valentine's Day ), a master class on cooking traditional Russian pancakes "Gulyai, Maslenitsa!", excursions around Yekaterinburg and city enterprises.

Each of the several hundred students of the USUE preparatory faculty takes a test on knowledge of grammar, the ability to write, to perceive a Russian text visually and by ear, as well as to speak in dialogue with the examiner.

“The guys show good results thanks to their own motivation and diligence, as well as the efforts of teachers. Thus, we rated the first group of examinees at an average of 4.5 points out of 5. They will receive certificates of A 2 to B1 level as per the international scale of language competencies, which will allow them to enter Russian universities. And we will continue to study in summer with those who enter USUE,” Anton Kolyadin, a teacher of the USUE preparatory faculty, a certified tester of Russian as a foreign language, said.

Until July, approximately 300 more foreign citizens will have to take the exam. From June 20, the admission campaign at professional educational institutions of Russia begins, and we wish the graduates of the USUE preparatory faculty successful passing the exam and further enrollment to the chosen university!

The first group of students of the USUE preparatory faculty passed exams with high scores.
